The 319 m tall Chrysler Building (completed 1930) is located in midtown Manhattan, at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue. It was the tallest building in the world for a year, until the completion of the Empire State Building. It is considered the most elegant and distinctive skyscrapter in New York City, and is very popular among the population.
