Listed in the Domesday Book, this castle has been a Norman stronghold, a royal residence for six of England’s medieval queens, a palace  (the favourite one) of Henry VIII, and a retreat for the powerful and influential. It was built in the 12th c. (altered many times). Leeds Castle has epitomised the spectacle and romanticism of Hot-Air Ballooning for many years. Flying shortly after sunrise or before sunset, a flight over the stunning Kent countryside is an exhilarating yet tranquil experience that will be remembered long after the flight is over.
