The oldest part of the Tower (11th c.). 42 Beefeaters (Yeoman Warder) guard the Tower in Tudor uniforms (right). Yeoman Warders have been at the Tower of London since the 14th c. Today they combine their traditional ceremonial role with that of tourist guide.
