The Great Exhibition was held here in 1851 (Crystal Palace). There are many concerts (top: LIVE8, 2005) and demonstrations there nowadays. Hyde Park is continuous with Green Park and St James's Park as well as with Kensington Gardens - all in the city centre. It has a nice artificial boating lake (Serpentine Lake). Speakers' Corner (left) is an area where public speaking is allowed located in the north-east corner of Hyde Park.
