Built by John Nash as an Oriental palace (1822). The interior is also decorated in Indian and Chinese style. The Prince Regent (future George IV) married his love in secret here (before Nash started the work). He was not allowed to marry for 2 reasons: the Prince would have needed to be 25 to marry without the permission of his father the king; George married a divorced Catholic woman (again doubly "wrong"). 10 years later he was made to marry someone else, this time officially
