Known as the "biggest little village in Ireland", Blarney is only five miles from Ireland's second largest city Cork. This historic Castle is most famous for its Stone, which has the traditional power of conferring eloquence on all who kiss it - the "gift of the gab" as it is known. The Stone is set in the wall below the battlements, and to kiss it, one has to lean backwards, grasping an iron railing from the parapet walk with a trusted friend holding your legs!
Top right: You have to lay down here with your back on the floor and your head sticking out into the abyss below, and kiss the Stone on the bottom of the battlement. It is quite dangerous.
