In this picture, we are looking straight north from the Empire State Building towards uptown Manhattan. The view is partially blocked by the midtown skyscrapers. The straight road leading northward across them is 5th Avenue, which also borders Central Park from the east further north. This picture reveals that Central Park is an island of green in Manhattan’s sea of brick and concrete.
