The building in the picture, located at the edge of downtown Dallas,  functioned as the Texas School Book Depository in 1963, when ― according to the most widely accepted theory of the assassination ― Lee Harvey Oswald shot President John F. Kennedy in his open limousine from the sixth floor of the building. Today, the Sixth Floor Museum in the building introduces visitors to the story of the assassination and its historical context.
